Gaza: Hamas spokesman said Saturday that the group wants to get the "Egyptian fuel" for the power station in the Gaza Strip to Israel's high price of fuel.
Said Sami Abu Zuhri, said in a statement: "We are committed to constantly pumping fuel from Egypt to Gaza because Gaza's population have no money for fuel to cover the Israeli equivalent of two dollars per liter."
Abu Zuhri called officials in Egypt as a "return to normal conditions before the issuance of their decision to prevent pumping fuel to Gaza."
The large amounts of Egyptian fuel, including diesel fuel, which was used for GPP are smuggled through the tunnels deployed along the border between Gaza and Egypt.
Hamas has repeatedly called for the transfer of fuel through the Rafah border crossing to end the crisis, fuel and electricity, which worsened over a month ago.
Abu Zuhri accused the prime minister, Salam Fayyad, the Palestinian Authority to "using the issue of fuel for Mnakfah, extortion and exploitation of the suffering of the citizens in Gaza," referring especially to "Fayad's remarks on the subject to the flow of fuel to Gaza to pay for the cost."
Fayyad was seen on Friday that the solution reached is "a temporary solution, and the possibility to convert to a permanent solution depend on the fact that Gaza Electricity Distribution Company to cover the entire cost of fuel."

And continues to fuel stations in the sector suffering from shortages in the availability of fuel, especially diesel and gasoline, which was being smuggled large quantities of it on a daily basis through agreement on the border with Egypt. | |
